Northeast is Major Baseball Champions

In the championship, Northeast were able to withstand an amazing opponent in RUG. After jumping out to a 4-0 lead in the first, RUG battled back to tie the game in the 3rd, and it stayed that way till the 6th. Northeast's first hitter in the 6^th led off with a triple and barely scored the go-ahead run on a sacrifice fly. Fortunately, Northeast was able to keep their offense at bay in the bottom of the 6^th for the win. Both teams played great, and the game truly could've gone either way. Surviving District 8 was incredibly challenging as always, and we know we are "battle-tested" going into the state tournament. Thank you to everyone involved for putting on a fantastic district tournament!!
